Moscow Government Cup
Events - 2005 Events

ImageOn May 29, Andrei Kirilenko accepted an invitation to take a part in the Moscow Government Cup and to conduct an hour class for kids. Initially Andrei planned to spend it as a truly “basketball lesson”, but it became more interesting where the kids competed against each other and Andrei became the judge. Young basketball players competed in accuracy and speed of throws, beauty and singularity of tricks, showing their unique skills. Finally we can definitely say that youth were very inspirited by AK-47, and thanks to Andrei we managed to attract a lot of young basketball players and admirers to that street ball court. By getting kids excited about basketball, the kids choose more positive and healthy lifestyles.

Orphanage Visit
Charities - Orphanages

ImageOn May 24, Andrei and Masha Kirilenko, with Foundation assistants Victoria and Tatiana, visited orphanage #8. Kirilenko’s Kids has been helping this orphanage since last summer. This trip was inspirited for two main reasons: to visit children and to meet with Neways managers. Neways is world wide company, who produces biodegradable formulas, products for personal care and household products. Thanks to the collaboration between Neways and Kirilenko’s Kids we have an opportunity to deliver these important and needed products to the orphanage. Foundation assistants and Neways managers spent about two hours with children, who need so much attention, discussed many items about future work. When everyone left the orphanage, it was full of energy and a desire to keep on working closely to make children’s lives in the orphanage better.

Kid's Party
Charities - Cancer Center

ImageKirilenko’s Kids had a party for children in the Cancer Center in Saint-Petersburg. It is extremely important to help children forget about their illness for a while. Treatments last for at least 6 month and they must stay almost all of this time in the hospital. They don’t have an opportunity to go to school or go out to the movies and theaters. We are happy that we can show them that they are not forgotten and that other people do care about them. The party we had for children in the Cancer Center made a lot of kids happy. Everyone had fun – children could play with clown and big alive toys (you will see them on pictures), dance, take a part in funny contests and could meet Andrei Kirilenko, who travelled to Saint-Petersburg to spend the day with the children and give them presents and medicine.

We will try to have these parties more often to help the children forget about their pain and terrible illness and to see smiles on their faces at least for a couple of hours.
